Clif Gottwals

Like many others, Clif’s love of the NC mountains began as a summer visitor and quickly transitioned into the purchase of a vacation home and ultimately a full-time residence. Active and outdoors-oriented, Clif enjoys hiking, mountain-biking, and working outside on his property at the base of Shortoff Mountain. After making Highlands his full-time home, he quickly became involved in the community and supports the arts in Highlands, including serving on the Highlands Playhouse Board. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University with a degree in Economics and a degree in Education from Florida State University. Clif started his career in real estate after 25 years in banking and most recently as an elementary teacher. During his corporate career, he relocated many times, living both domestically and internationally and building a portfolio of income properties. Through these experiences, Clif learned the importance of working with a real estate professional who could add true value and operated with unquestionable integrity. He brings that insight, experience, and professionalism to all his client relationships.
